Our company, TIS, a limited liability company, is implementing a project titled “Transformation of TIS GROUP into a Circular Economy Enterprise.”

The project received funding from the European Funds for Eastern Poland Programme 2021-2027, Priority I: Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Measure Number: 1.3 Circular Economy in SMEs – Stage I.

Project Description

The project involves developing a Business Model for Transforming our company into a Circular Economy-based enterprise, based on a prior audit. These activities will be implemented by a specialized external consulting firm. In the first step, we will identify areas susceptible to change, which will lead to:

1. reducing the amount of metal waste we generate,
2. increasing the durability of products through repair or reuse,
3. reducing the amount of primary electrical or thermal energy consumed,

Subsequently, a Transformation Model will be developed, specifying, among other things, a timeline of activities, the necessary resources for the transformation, identifying key indicators for monitoring its effects, and a risk register related to the challenge being undertaken. Potential areas for establishing collaborative relationships with other companies to create industrial symbiosis will also be explored.

We plan to complete the project by August 31, 2025.

Project Goal

The goal of the project is to outline transformational actions that will help us change our operating model to align with the Circular Economy concept and thereby reduce our company’s negative impact on the natural environment.

Target Groups

The target groups identified for the project are: TIS GROUP owners and employees, the company’s customers, business partners, including suppliers, and the immediate and extended community of the city of Białystok and the region.

The expected tangible results of the project include:

obtaining a professional Transformation Model for the “TIS” LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY toward a company operating in accordance with the principles of a circular economy, with a defined timeline of activities, resources necessary for process implementation, and guidelines for monitoring results.
